Expats Club KL celebrates Raising over RM10,000 for Local Charities with a Halloween Fiesta.

Expats Club KL celebrates Raising over RM10,000 for Local Charities with a Halloween Fiesta.

Our Private Wealth Specialist, Joshua Webley who is also the founder of the Expats Club community in Malaysia, recently held a Halloween special edition of their hugley successful KL Curry Club. Joshua recaps the night in the article below:

On the 26th of October, the Expats Club (KL Curry Club) hosted our first ever Halloween special at the W1 in Chinatown, Kuala Lumpur. We had an amazing turnout of over 60 expats, from far and wide. From those who have called Malaysia home for many years, to those brand new and right through to those who have used our own Relocating to Malaysia services to smoothly intergrate into the expat community in Malaysia.

The atmosphere was fun and vibrant, with people enjoying themselves, the food and the spooky aesthetic provided by the newly opened W1 in Chinatown (The Pie and peas were by far the best I have eaten in Malaysia). We had a selection of prizes organised by both Melbourne Capital Group and Royal St George of Malaysia.

Prizes organised by both Melbourne Capital Group and Royal St George of Malaysia

First Prize by Melbourne Capital Group - RM600 Voucher for Banyan Tree - John Power of Ireland, in his comic accurate Wolverine attire. A costume so accurate, John was late for the event due to being stopped by the authorities to verify if his claws were real.

Second Prize by Royal St George of Malaysia - Bottle of Wine - Junna, who was dressed in her Witchy best, won a bottle of wine.

Best Couple prize by Royal St George of Malaysia - Bottle of Tito's vodka - Dan and Sabrina Creffield, supporting their death by head injury outfits!

One thing I would like to thank everyone for, is hitting our annual charity target. At the start of this journey, I aimed to earn RM10,000 for various charities, and we surpassed that target - Now at RM10,500 with two months to go! This event was in support of the Lost Food Project, however we have also worked alongside MAPPAC, Pads & Paws, Rebeccas Rescues, Soi Dogs, Amitbha and much more, across Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok.

Stay tuned for our first ever Penang Curry Club in December 2024!
