As a proud Yorkshireman from the historic city of York, my journey to becoming a Private Wealth Manager at Melbourne Capital Group hasn’t always been conventional. I didn’t attend university like most of my friends. I was keen to get straight into things, so I began my career at a local bank, where I quickly developed a fascination with the world of finance. From this, I gained a particular interest in financial advice and wealth management. With over 10 years of experience in financial services, and a few ‘gap years’ thrown in for good measure, I worked my way up through administration, management, and technical paraplanning roles at an award-winning Independent Financial Adviser firm in Leeds. All whilst studying towards the Chartered Insurance Institute’s Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, determined to deepen my knowledge and expertise.

Being based in Penang gives me the unique opportunity to help the many expats in the area and beyond to secure their financial futures through holistic, goals-based financial planning. At Melbourne Capital Group, I’m eager to make a real difference in the lives of expats across Asia, all while continuing my professional development towards CII Chartered status.
